 1. Prepare for the Business Process Testing:

  • Define what kind of business process matters you are going to test;
    • Efficiency (ability to transform inputs into outputs with minimal loses);
    • Effectiveness (ability to reach targeted aims) of process, documents, components, etc;
    • Quality of outcomes (ability to produce products of a specified quality);
    • Fault-tolerance (ability to be resistant against errors and faults);
    • Timing and productivity (ability to deliver results promptly, without delays);
  • Define the process components you want to test particularly and jointly: equipment, employees, products, etc;
  • Select right approaches to elaborate testing procedures suiting selected process elements;

  • Test the process equipments and other assets to learn whether they fit to standards of efficiency rate, standards of on-the-job safety, standards of wear-and-tear condition, etc;
  • Examine innovative component of the process: how often existing modernization opportunities are considered for this process and how effectively they are implemented;
  • Inspect whether the process meets “green” requirements, including how well it is supported with energy-saving options for a better cost-efficiency;
  • Examine workers participating in the process: check how well they are educated on the process conceptions and configuration, and assess their practical skills to prevent quality gaps;
  • Identify environmental variables that can affect the process workflow (can add contingency) and model different situation to learn how properly the process participants react;
  • Inspect average timing of the process: whether it fits required standards on duration, or how far the results fluctuate from cycle to cycle, investigate underlying reasons, etc;
  • Control the process’s yield and identify its failure rate: how often the process generates spoiled......
