1.    Impact.

  • Identify whether your process has a positive impact to quality of related processes, projects and services
  • Identify and measure the degree of the process’s positive impact to timeliness of related processes, projects and services
  • Check if the positive impact has been documented properly
  • Figure out whether the process has lowered planning and implementation costs
  • Confirm employees are well trained in performing the process
  • Find out if the process has been consistently applied and enforced

2.    Performance.

  • Count errors or breaks that have been identified during process implementation
  • Check if the number of errors or breaks does not exceed the failure threshold
  • Develop and apply a corrective action plan if the threshold is exceeded
  • Confirm the process remains effective if the threshold is not exceeded
  • Review and analyze process performance goals
  • Determine if the process has met the goals
  • Identify failure reasons if the process has failed the goals
  • Develop a corrective action plan to adjust and correct the process
  • Review the process’s outcome and identify whether this outcome meets initial expectations
  • Evaluate the process’s current resource consumption rate
  • Define if the current consumption rate remains effective and does not exceed expected consumption rate

3.    Efficiency.

  • Estimate process delivery time (the length of time required to implement the process)
  • Separate out the time actually spent on producing the process’s results (it is called the value-added time)
  • Calculate process efficiency as a ratio between the value-added time and delivery time
  • Consider reducing wait (idle) time to minimize............
