  1. Review the Project
    • Identify the problem your project needs to address
    • Confirm the problem is current and critical
    • Be sure that project objectives and performance measures directly address the identified problem
    • Forecast costs associated with implementing the project
    • Identify risks and issues
    • Check resource availability
    • Define team composition along with project roles and responsibilities
    • Review governance structure
    • Define the project plan
    • Confirm Project Proposal is developed and approved 
  2. Negotiate the Project
    • Review alternatives to the proposed solution
    • Analyze feasibility of every solution
    • Report on the preferred (most feasible and cost-effective) solution
    • Confirm project goals are align with customer expectations
    • Be sure project goals are clear, unambiguous and achievable
    • Capture and agree on project duration and time

  3. Communicate the Project
    • Perform a meeting with key stakeholders to agree on project launch
    • Hold a kickoff meeting with the team to present the project and get it started
    • Notify customer of project start
    • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to start managing deliveries and procurements
